Women who have PCOD or PCOS usually have irregular menstrual cycles. The Luteinizing Hormone (LH) are very high in the beginning of the menstrual cycle, and even higher than the Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH). In a normal woman, this is the reverse. There is an increased level of testosterone which causes irregular ripening of the endometrium. This results in irregular menstrual cycle and irregular bleeding. For more information, visit care.com
